The Yorkshire Evening Post and its community websites are owned and operated by Johnston Press, one of the top three local newspaper publishers in the UK and Ireland.
Leeds, UK, August 21, 2009 -- The Yorkshire Evening Post has launched the latest in a series of hyper-local websites around Leeds. http://www.harehillstoday.co.uk is the 21st website to be launched by the Johnston Press evening title. It covers the Harehills, Gipton, Osmondthorpe, and Burmantofts areas of the city. Each of the community websites feature ultra-local news, information, sport and entertainment with most carrying video, and audio footage and picture slideshows.
More websites are to be added over the coming months and content on existing websites will be boosted. Each website features a community directory with links to local groups and organisations, and some carry comprehensive sections for local sports clubs with match reports for all teams.They all feature latest planning applications as well as ‘ex-pat maps’ and guestbooks.
