Long-time V8 Supercar racer and Network 10 Grand Prix presenter Cameron McConville has opened a brand new JAXQuickfit Tyres store in Moorabbin.
Australia, November 03, 2009 -- McConville and wife Cassandra are joint franchisees of the newest JAXQuickfit Tyre store in Australia, though his association with the national tyre retailer goes back several years.
"I've been working with JAXQuickfit for a while as they've supported me personally in V8 Supercars, and during that time I visited a lot of stores, and I liked what I saw," Cam McConville explains.
"JAXQuickfit has real family values and what appealed to me was their business model, which Cassandra and I believe will provide an excellent investment opportunity for our family's future."
Although new to the coal face of tyre retailing himself, Cam has appointed an experienced Manager to head up his team of tyre technicians, fitters and mechanics, while wife Cassandra is in charge of the business' back office.
JAXQuickfit's new Moorabbin store has been extensively renovated to industry benchmark standard and includes a large investment in the very latest high-tech tyre fitment and servicing equipment.
On offer is the JAXQuickfit's national range of tyres, wheels and associated services, together with steering, brake and suspension servicing.
"Our aim initially is to focus on mum-and-dad customers, to give them the right sort of product and servicing at the right price, but being in Moorabbin I believe there is an opportunity longer term to develop significant fleet business," the bayside local resident says.
"We also have a strong marketing plan, we're not going to sit back, our plan is to be out there and active in the community."
Another point Cam was also quick to emphasize is the importance of female customers, who make up a large portion of the tyre buying public.
"The layout of our new tyre store and comfortable waiting area have been carefully considered for servicing all customer types, but especially so for females," Cam explains.
McConville is well known to motor racing fans after a long professional career in V8 Supercars. He currently drives for the Brad Jones Racing Holden team out of Albury, and just weeks ago finished a career-best second in the Bathurst 1000.
Cam is equally known for his co-hosting of Network 10's Formula 1 Grand Prix telecasts with Greg Rust.
"I am entering the next phase of my professional life and very excited about this partnership with JAXQuickfit … I really believe in the brand and the business and am delighted to be part of the JAXQuickfit family," Cam says.
Australian-owned JAXQuickfit Tyres is unique in representing the top five global manufacturing giants of the tyre industry, including quality and high performance passenger car, light truck and 4wd tyre brands … BF Goodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli together with value for money brand options.
This enables it to offer customers a mix of brands that span the premium, major and discount tyre market sectors.
In 2009 JAXQuickfit is celebrating its 60th year in business and nationally serves more than 42,000 customers per month through its 70 stores along the eastern seaboard.
