Film4 Summer Screen celebrates 10 years of classic cinema, reports LondonTown.com
LONDON, August 04, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Celebrating ten years of cinema under the stars, Film4 Summer Screen returns to Somerset House for two weeks in August.

One of London's most famous open air film events, Film4 Summer Screen offers city dwellers the chance to watch a wide selection of comedies, romance, musicals, thrillers and cult classics on an enormous outdoor screen at Somerset House. Incorporating 35mm projection and surround sound, the Film4 selections are brought to viewers as clearly as the local indoor cinemas but with the added benefit of a cool breeze and a picnic. The summer screenings kick off with the UK Premiere of Two Days, One Night, a French drama about a woman fighting to keep her job. Comedy fans will enjoy The Royal Tennenbaums, while fans of 80s classics will want to attend the double bill screening of Ghostbusters and Big Trouble in Little China. The quick witted screwball musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Western A Fistful of Dollars, Mad Max 2, and Rosemary's Baby are also on the schedule. Special talks with directors, actors and industry insiders will also provide further insight into the films. Doors open at 6pm with DJs playing in the courtyard until the film starts at 9pm. Tickets are selling fast for this very popular week of film. For those wanting to combine their cinema experience with some sightseeing, there is a good selection of cheap London hotels in the vicinity of Somerset House, many bookable through LondonTown.com.

Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House runs from 7-20 August 2014, tickets cost 18.25 including booking fees and doors open at 6:30pm. Visit www.londontown.com for more details.
