Continuing to secure its position as one of the top two providers of catalog peptides in the world, this week AnaSpec introduced a selection of new peptides for drug discovery research.

Bacterial Peptides
CFTR (108-117); Pseudomonas aeruginosa Inhibitor (Cat# 61810-1/61810-5) http://www.anaspec.com/search/?searchString1=61810&exact=1&searchOption1=7
Sequence: SYDPDNKEER
This peptide represents amino acids 108-117 of the first CFTR(human cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) extracellular domain. This peptide has been shown to inhibit internalization of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Protein Phosphorylation Related Peptides
Histone H3 (116–136); C116–136 (Cat# 61704)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33891
Sequence: KRVTIMPKDIQLARRIRGERA
This peptide spans the C-terminus of histone H3; amino acids 116 to 136.

Histone H3 (1-21); Biotinylated (Cat# 61702)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33891
Sequence: ARTKQTARKSTGGKAPRKQLA-GG-K(BIOTIN)-NH2
This sequence corresponds to the first 21 amino acids of the NH2 terminal of histone H3 followed by a GG linker and a biotinylated lysine. This peptide was used to investigate the characteristics and mechanisms of ethanol-induced histone H3 acetylation in rat hepatocytes. Immunocytochemical and immunoblot analyses revealed that ethanol treatment significantly increased H3 acetylation at Lys9 with negligible effects at Lys14; 18; and 23.

RS domain derived peptide (Cat# 61722)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33893
Sequence: GRSRSRSRSR
This peptide is a substrate for Clk/Sty and is phosphorylated by Clk/Sty protein kinase (Km=102 microM).

BTK derived peptide (Cat# 61728)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33894
Sequence: KKVVALYDYMPMN-NH2
BTK derived peptide is a substrate for Btk (Bruton's tyrosine kinase); a nonreceptor tyrosine kinase; involved in precursor B (pre-B) cell receptor signal which is required for normal B cell development and signal transduction through cell surface molecule.

Histone H3 (116–136); N15–39 (Cat# 61705)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33895
Sequence: APRKQLATKAARKSAPATGGVKKPH
This peptide is based on amino acids 15 to 39 of histone H3.

Forkhead derived peptide; FAM-labeled; Woodtide (Cat# 61744)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33896
Sequence: 5-FAM-KKISGRLSPIMTEQ-NH2
A FAM-labeled Forkhead derived peptide (Ab/Em = 494/521 nm). Also known as woodtide; this peptide is used as a substrate for the DYRK family of kinases in in-vitro analysis. The peptide corresponds to residues 324-334 of transcription factor FKHR with two lysine residues added at the N-terminus to facilitate binding to phosphocellulose paper.

Forkhead derived peptide; Woodtide (Cat# 61743)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33897
Sequence: KKISGRLSPIMTEQ-NH2
This peptide is used as a substrate for the DYRK family of kinases in in-vitro analysis. Also known as woodtide; this peptide corresponds to residues 324 to 334 of transcription factor FKHR with two lysine residues added at the N-terminus to facilitate binding to phosphocellulose paper.

Viral Peptides
LMP2 (340–350); SSC (Cat# 61681)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33898
Sequence: SSCSSCPLSKI
This is an Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-encoded oncogene latent membrane protein 2 (LMP2); HLA-A11 restricted subdominant epitope. The SSC-specific effector CTLs; active against both the peptide and endogenously expressed LMP2 protein; could be generated from donor (HLA-A11-positive) by stimulation with SSC-loaded dendritic cells(SSC/DC).

LMP2 (419-427); TYG (Cat# 61683)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33899
Sequence: TYGPVFMCL
This is a HLA A*2402-restricted Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-encoded oncogene latent membrane protein 2 (LMP2) epitope fragment amino acid residues 419 to 427.

HIV QK10 (Cat# 61672)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33900
Sequence: QVPLRMTYK
This is a HLA A3 restricted HIV Nef epitope (QK10); a conserved CTL epitope within a functional domain of nef. It overlaps with CTL epitopes restricted by HLA A11; B7 and B35.

Neuropeptides
L1ARSLCD (Cat# 61661)
http://www.anaspec.com/products/product.asp?id=33901
Sequence: FGEARSLESDNEE
This peptide has a single amino acid substitution (Y1176A) at critical tyrosine residue compared to L1CD (1173-1185). It corresponds to the mutant form of L1 amino acids 1173 to 1185. The L1 subfamily of cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) has a highly conserved cytoplasmic domain that contains a tyrosine; followed by the alternatively spliced RSLE (Arg-Ser-Leu-Glu) sequence.
