Author: The Washington Chiefs
Industry: Non Profit

We've launched a campaign called "If You Donate A Dollar, You Can Produce a Scholar." While we understand times are hard financially for everyone, we are asking for your contribution of a dollar for our youth service programs.

The Washington Chiefs Inc (WCI) supports and services include mentorship, social activities, and vocational training. The WCI also offers information and referral services, and works to educate the community about the need for mentorship to disadvantage children. We are widely recognized for our work with children in the area to improve public policy and keep children issues in the hearts and minds of decision-makers, donors and volunteers.

We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization that embraces community service as an integral part of its mission. Members are required to act as the core of positive youth-oriented programs and project wholesome images throughout their respective neighborhoods.

We exemplifies leadership, strength, and responsibility to our community. The Chiefs symbolic logo of crossed battle axes represents the team's respect for its players, is opponents and the community.

The Chiefs organization is designed to:
* Elevate academic excellence among at-risk youth,
* Extend outreach efforts to disenfranchised youth with low-economic communities,
* Nourish and develop self-discipline and self-reliance, and
* Encourage healthy lifestyles in disadvantaged, yet talented youth of all ages.

Our programs are designed to reach these youngsters and young adults through structured, supervised recreational activities, tutoring and mentoring programs, social skills development workshops and health education seminars.

We are dedicated to presenting programs that will strengthen and fortify our youth against the world's problems and help them become productive leaders in their communities. We are concerned with all aspects of the development of today's youth, and recognize their obligations to help prep' these youth with the life skills and personal tools necessary to conquer life's obstacles.

We can't succeed without your help. Please donate one dollar--If You Donate A Dollar, You Can Produce A Scholar and PUT KIDS 1ST. Mail your donation to our Washington DC office or you can visit http://washingtonchiefs.com/. Thank you and God Bless!
