LondonTown.com cooks up a treat with tantalising discounts on London hotels over the Cake and Bake Show weekend
August 29, 2012, 1:44 pm -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The first ever live event focused entirely on the world of baking heads to London 's Earl's Court on 22 and 23 September. Over the course of two days one of London's oldest exhibition and event venues will be filled with aromas of freshly-baked cakes, breads, biscuits and cookies as celebrity chefs and artisan bakers from around the world come together to bake up a storm.

Earl's Court will be divided up into various areas including The Bakery, where visitors can learn from the UK's top artisan bakers; The Cake Kitchen featuring demonstrations and talks – the main hub of action during the event; Kid's Kitchen aiming to raise awareness about the fun of baking with children; the Classrooms, where visitors can learn new skills; Chocolate Unwrapped, will see visitors taking a chocolate tasting tour and the Marketplace – the place to taste, try and buy a huge variety of baked goods.

Guest speakers at the event include queen of baking herself Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, the UK 's best-known artisan baker and Juliet Sear, the talent behind Fancy Nancy Bakes.

Day tickets cost £12.50 for adults and £5 for children and can be booked online or via telephone.

Cheap hotels in London are normally hard to come by, but LondonTown.com has discounted a range of hotels in the capital in order to make the city more affordable in 2012. Two of these discounted hotels located near Earl's Court are the Presidential Kensington Apartments, reduced by 56% and the Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum, reduced by 72%.

The former is a period apart-hotel with stylish early 20 th century features and an amazing location near Earl's Court. Rooms available from £166 per night and each includes its own fully-fitted kitchen and lounge area with plasma screen satellite TV and DVD player.

The latter is a modern, high-rise hotel with sleek, contemporary design features and spacious, light and airy rooms. Prices start at £103 per room, per night.
