New York, NY, June 11, 2013 - The US Commercial Service announces its ICT webinar for the Sub-Saharan Africa region as part of DBIA, Doing Business In Africa, program. The event to be host online on Thursday June 20 2013 at 11:00 am EST will provide US companies with information regarding ICT business opportunities in the African market.

Africa is home to six of the ten fastest-growing countries in the world. Africa is becoming recognized among top consultancies as the next frontier for U.S. businesses and investments. U.S. trade to and from Africa has tripled over the past decade and U.S. exports to sub-Saharan Africa now top $21 billion. The International Monetary Fund projects sub-Saharan Africa to grow between 5 and
6 percent each year over the next two years. South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria each offer a gateway for U.S. companies to enter the African continent. A growing consumer base, favorable view of U.S. technology, and national efforts to upgrade and develop infrastructure have created opportunities for U.S. SMEs.

This webinar will focus on the information technologies sector in Sub-Saharan Africa. Experts will provide you with market intelligence including opportunities and challenges when entering Africa. You will hear from Commercial Officers and private sector experts located in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa and answer your questions during a highly focused and interactive webinar setting.
