Two events celebrate the art of London storytelling in the heart of the West End.
LONDON, February 12, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The London Transport Museum will celebrating its new Serco Prize for Illustration 2014 exhibition, London Stories, with two special events in February and March. These will be London Stories Friday Late on 14th February and London Stories Live: London Authors Tell Their Stories on 3 rd March. The Serco Prize For Illustration is a new exhibition at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden that opens on 14 th February and features 50 works of art that celebrate stories about London, fictional and real, contemporary historical. The resulting illustrations cover everything from Mary Poppins to an escaped monkey jazz band.

Hannah Velten discusses Beastly London and how animals have always been important in the story of London, while Mark Mason describes his odyssey over several hundred miles as he walked the entire length of the London Underground system over-ground passing every station along the way in his book, Walk The Lines. The audience will have the opportunity to purchase books and have them signed after the event.
