Spatial Confessions will create a living artwork over four days in May.
LONDON, May 06, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The Tate Modern has announced a new live event, Spatial Confessions, which will be held in the Turbine Hall in May and include live and online performances, talks and films the explore the performances of people in public, looking at how they present themselves as citizens and as private individuals. The series is curated by performance theorist Bojana Cvejic as part of BMW Tate Live and runs from 21 to 24 May. It will take place over four days in the Turbine Hall in the centre of Tate Modern, the world's most popular contemporary art gallery located on London's Southbank. For a guide to the area's numerous attractions, including museums, galleries, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and tourist attractions, see, where you can also find the latest details about cheap London hotels.

Spatial Confessions will include a performance event, encouraging visitors to become part of a formation of humans based on their responses to various questions spanning the personal to the mundane. A choreographer will then help make this formation mobile and movements, postures and shapes will emerge so that the random circulation of Tate Modern's visitors will be redirected into patterns that reflect visitors' responses. Other events include a conference on 24th May that will include a conversation between art historian Claire Bishop and philosopher Nina Power; presentations by Ana Vujanovic, theatre maker and drama professor Goran Sergej Pristas and the screening of the documentary film Yugoslavia: How Ideology Moved Our Collective Body by Marta Popivoda The BMW Tate Live events are free but booking is essential, and more information about this and other events taking place at the Tate Modern, as well as its sister gallery, Tate Britain, in Pimlico, can be found at Both galleries have free entry and house some of the world's finest paintings.
